This Privacy Policy describes how Van Leeuwen Ice Cream ("Van Leeuwen," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Van Leeuwen Heartbeat internal SMS notification program. This program is for Van Leeuwen employees and authorized staff only.
How to sign up (opt-in)
Enrollment is voluntary and for Van Leeuwen employees only. To receive alerts, an authorized employee completes our SMS Sign-Up & Consent form, where they provide their name, work role, and mobile number and check a box giving express consent to receive recurring automated internal dashboard-update text messages. Consent is not a condition of employment, of any purchase, or of access to any Van Leeuwen dashboard or service, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Information we collect
- Your mobile phone number;
- Your name and work role (to direct the correct notifications);
- Message delivery logs (timestamps and delivery status) used to operate the service.
How we use it
We use this information solely to send internal operational notifications — for example, alerts that a weekly Heartbeat dashboard (inventory, sales, or make schedule) has been refreshed with current data, including a link to view it. We do not use it for marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies (up to one message per weekday per subscribed dashboard). Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out and help
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive no further messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.
Data retention & security
We retain this information only as long as needed to operate the program and meet recordkeeping requirements, and we apply reasonable safeguards to protect it.
